Welcome to Side Path, developed and operated by Shenzhen Poke Cloud Technology Co., Ltd. (深圳市破壳云科技有限公司) ("we", "us"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the App. By tapping "Agree and accept", or by using the App, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Side Path is a personal income-tracking and growth-statistics tool. It helps you record primary-job and side-hustle income, follow your replacement-rate trend, and manage goals and achievements. Your bookkeeping data is stored locally on your device by default. Signing in is optional — everything local works while signed out.
When you choose to sign in (with Google on Google Play builds, or with WeChat on builds from app stores in the Chinese mainland), we create an internal user ID and store the account details we need. Up to 3 devices may be signed in to one account at the same time; beyond that limit, the least recently active device is signed out automatically.
QR-code backup is a device-migration feature, not long-term cloud backup. A backup can only be read by the same signed-in account. The same QR code can be scanned and imported repeatedly; exporting again invalidates the previous QR code immediately. Importing completely overwrites the records, settings and achievements on the receiving device, and does not change other devices automatically.
2. Your conduct
- You are responsible for the truthfulness and legality of what you enter, and must not use the App for unlawful activity
- You must not decompile, crack, or otherwise interfere with the normal operation of the App
- You are responsible for looking after your device and your backups; losses caused by a lost device, accidental deletion, or failure to back up are yours to bear
3. Intellectual property
The interface design, code, icons, copy and other intellectual property in this App belong to Shenzhen Poke Cloud Technology Co., Ltd. or the respective rights holders. They may not be copied, distributed, or used commercially without authorization.
4. Disclaimer
- The statistics, charts, achievements and "replacement rate" the App provides are for reference only, and are not investment, financial or career advice
- Features such as the "financial freedom goal" are for goal-setting, and do not represent any actual financial outcome
- For data loss caused by force majeure, system failure or user error, we will help explain what happened as far as is reasonable, but accept no liability beyond what the law requires
5. Changes to and termination of the service
We may update, adjust or discontinue features of the App, and will give notice in the App or through app-store announcements. You may sign out, delete your server-side account, stop using the App and uninstall it at any time. Deleting your server-side account does not automatically erase the bookkeeping data on your device.
6. Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms. Continuing to use the App after a revision means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the App and uninstall it.
8. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. In the event of a dispute arising from these Terms, the parties shall first try to resolve it amicably; failing that, the dispute shall be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction at the developer's place of business. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence.
